A four week program designed to encourage Americans to save money, build wealth and reduce debt.  All essential steps in improve the economic well-being of individuals and families, critical to strengthening our communities.

Introductory Homeownership
This introduction to homeownership workshop is designed for individuals who are interested in purchasing a home in the near future. The program is taught by bilingual financial experts and covers the following necessary steps to become a homeowner:

  • Budgeting 101 and the importance of savings
  • The basic principles of credit, how to understand a credit report, the importance of maintaining a good credit score, and steps to improve or repair credit
  • The opportunity to obtain their credit report and receive a one-on-one consultation with credit experts
  • How to qualify for a mortgage and the different choices available based on one’s credit history, income and assets.
  • How to select a realtor, how to close on a purchase, and how to avoid last minute surprises.
  • Provides post-purchase support to help you enjoy being a new home owner.
